on the Fantasico De Luxe menu, i would like to see the SMF upgraded to it's latest version. thanks

You can install it easy and manually by going to the simplemachines website and downloading the .zip file. Then all that needs to be done is to upload this through your file manager in cpanel to were you want it. Click on the name of it and in the top right of the screen you will see a new menu, click on extract files. Point your browser at the install.php and away you go. Hope that helps. WE can not upgrade fantastico, it's creators must do that.

The Fantastico comes as a package and they update it not x10hosting, eh?

Geoff's suggestion, though seems a bit more though than using fantastico, is the better way to learn the web. Then one gets to understand how the database works and how to update the smf before anyone else in fantastico does

eh, i know how it's just easier to be able to install it while it's all up-to-date. i'm installing multiple forums and after a while, it gets irritating to have to download and upload the updates over and over.

eh, it was just an idea no need to give reasons against the idea. it was just to make things easier for those who don't want to look for updates.

Well for starters I was NOT giving reasons against the idea, I was trying to help. and second as stated in my earlier post. We do NOT update fantastico. Youwill have to talk to them about that. It's up to the ppl themselves to update the software they use, not up to fantastico.
