SMTP/110 Error!

I've noticed I can receive but not send email from Squirrel Mail in my free hosting account. Upon sending I get the following error: "ERROR:Message not sent. Server replied: Connection timed out. 110 Can't open SMTP stream." It was working fine the last time I sent mail, but that was May 14, 2011 :-(

I understand others are / have recently experienced the same problem. My "Firewall Expertise" is essentially zero, but might this thread help solve this issue? "110 Can't open SMTP stream" - http://forums.theplanet.com/lofiversion/index.php/t89482.html

Did you check the configuration?
You can receive but not send!!strange but can you try sending it to different clients?Yahoo,msn,gmail etc

Tried Comcast, Verizon, Yahoo!, Gmail... Same error! :-(
