SMTP issues in Joomla!

I have a Joomla! site and email from Zoho.com. Despite what I have tried, I continue to get this error:

"Notice
SMTP connect() failed."

I have tried quite a few different things to resolve this with no luck. My credentials are correct, and I have tried every configuration possible. (TLS, SSL, etc...)

While trying to figure this out I read somewhere that it might have something to do with my host, so I thought I would post here and see if anyone had any ideas. If any other information is needed, just let me know.

All outbound mail must go through x10Hosting's SMTP servers and the outbound spam filter; external SMTP is not allowed (it's not just discouraged, it's blocked).
