SMTP problem

I have setup a subdomain webmail.rusnakfamily.org that points to an installation of squirrelmail. After configuring the installation, I get the error " Connection timed out
110 Can't open SMTP stream" My configuration is as follows

imap: mail.rusnakfamily.org
port: 143

smtp: mail.rusnakfamily.org'
port: 25

pop3 before smtp = true

I have tried both ways, including using my gmail account on smtp.gmail.com with my gmail account info. I get the same error.

Any suggestions?

I don't believe you'd be able to open a remote mail server from ours due to our security settings. Doing it locally should work though.
