Softaculous. Error?

Hi, while trying to install ANY application using Softaculous i get the following error.

The following errors were found :

• The MySQL Connection could not be established.

I have read in another post that the server i am situated on is new and may not be established properly.

Wondering if there has been a solution or if there is a solution to my problem.

There were some temporary outages on the MySQL server last night that have cleared up for me, do you still have this issue?

No i still receive the same error. and apprently i have a directory but it doesnt exist..

What are the parameters you are giving when you are installing any software in softaculous?

Choose Domain - sitdownauclan.pcriot.com
In Directory - forums
Database Name - aef

Board Settings
Board Name - Sitdown.au *Note:removing the fulstop doesnt change the outcome
Board Emai - board@sitdownauclan.pcriot.com
MySQL Database Prefix - aef_


Admin Account
Admin Username ToastiePop
Admin Email toastiepop@sitdownauclan.pcriot.com

*Note the above is for installing AEF forum board.

This is the details i enter.. i have not included admin pw for obvious reasons. I have tried all lowercase in directory with no difference.

Email's are valid as i created them and they can send and receive emails.

Hi sitdownau,

The settings seems to be correct. So try to install the AEF forum manually. Download the software --> http://www.anelectron.com/downloads/index.php?fid=1

Create a folder (aef) in public_html and upload to it.

Create the sql databse using "mysql databases" in cpanel, create a user for database and give all the privillages.

And use those details to install the AEF.

If any problem comes then post back here.

Hello,

For some reason Softaculous is only erroring on this one account, I have not found the reason yet. Alternatively I can re-create the account to see if that fixes it but it will wipe out anything currently on it. You could also install manually as gsonline pointed out above.

By recreaing the account would i keep the same domain?

I have all the files ive uploaded and am not sure if i would install the forum correctly.

I am quite happy to start again.
