when you get to that spot.......pull up, lol.

ZING!

For help though I'd check Gamefaq's and find a walkthrough that covers the system you're on (PC,ps2, whatever). I'm not sure what mission you're even talking about, but by the looks of it that jet shouldn'tve been that low to begin with (I'm probably not thinking of the right mission though).

Edit:
by the looks of it that jet shouldn'tve been that low to begin with
Just realized how dumb that sounds - of course the jet shouldn'tve been flying at -1 feet, thus crashing into the ground -_-'

Just go to the airport and take off and then i suck at flying and drive into the side of the mountain, then i bail from the plane and land in the water.

Do you know the controls for pc?

The controls should be in the options, look there for configuring the keyboard to find out what does what.

For me the pc controls are identical to the ps2's. I picked up a ps2-to-usb converter a while back and reconfigured gtavc/sa to match the ps2 instead of using pc.

You might want to look that option up if you're into heavy gaming but hate trying to buy good gamepads for the pc (I've gone through 3 gamepads in 6 months, whereas the ps2 controllers seem to be allergic to breaking ;) ).

The one I have is on amazon.com; search for "ps2 converter", and look for a blue triangular shaped device called "Playstation 2 to pc usb gamepad converter" by "super dual box advance." Dunno if it's rumble function works or not, but it cost me $5 for the box and $5 for s&h, supports 2 controllers. So I'm happy :)

Assuming you don't go for that though, you'll want some form of gamepad for playing SA. Keyboard+Mouse are most definitely the two hardest ways to fly an aircraft :S

Turn off fly with mouse and set your controls. Up/down and roll left/right. To turn use your Q/E (default for shooting in vehicle) buttons for better change of direction.
