Ok, this is a long possibly complicated story, but I'm going to try to explain.

Way back when x10hosting was having server problems and everyone's sites were backed up and moved to a new server, something went wrong with my site. Everything was working, but for some reason, in the cpanel, it said I was using more space than I actually was. For this, I got suspended. But I would follow the url to get it unsuspended everytime.

I posted about this problem in the forums a few times and nobody ever replied to my posts or tried to explain what was happening, so frustrated, i left, thinking you guys would just delete my account and that would be it.

Since then I've been going through some crappy hosting options. Today I came back to see my site because an old visitor informed me that it was still up. I came and there it was. Someone from x10 staff had posted in the tagboard that if I didn't get my ads up, i would get suspended. They also said that I was using more space than allowed.

First of all, I thought that with x10advanced, all you need is the text link. I had the code in my footer and the ad was there. It was at the bottom of the page, on every page. Is it supposed to be at the top? Was that the problem?

So I decided to take the ad code that you guys have up and repaste it into my footer in case the one I had was old or something. Then when I uploaded the footer, the footer disappeared from every page. So I thought I'd delete the current index page and put one up that says "COMING SOON" with the ad code underneath until I could figure things out. When I uploaded this page, it too wouldn't show up. It turns out that anything I upload to the site, uploads as an empty file. So now, there's no way I can get the ads up!

Also, I'm currently deleting files on my account to get the cpanel to show space less than 1000 mb, eventhough I'm not using that much so that I won't get suspended again.

Here's a post I made about it in January that nobody replied to:

http://www.x10hosting.com/showthread.php?t=13377

Well, thats it, thats my story. I hope someone can help me figure out why I'm uploading empty files and also why the cpanel is showing more space than I'm actually using.

My account is at: http://kalanporter.x10hosting.com

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)

There shouldnt be a problem with the ad code if you are using the new code provided. If your uploading files using ftp they sometimes have a tendency to upload as 0kb. Try uploading through your cpanel or a different ftp client. As for the space problem, we did have one not to long ago that said everyone had to much space. I`m not sure if this has been corrected yet. If it has and you still have that problem when an admin sees this he will probably check your account to see what is up.

I tried it with my FTP program and through the file manager and the same thing happens, it just uploads empty files. I guess I'll have to wait for an admin then for the space problem.

Thanks for replying by the way...

EDIT: ok, I can upload things through FTP and the file manager now, but the ads aren't showing up and the space is still off.

I'll run a quota check tomorrow to see if that fixes your space\FTP issue.

The space is still showing too much, but I got the ads to work. Could someone look into that?
