Sometimes my site is dead, sometimes it backs to normal, WHY?

Sometimes I want to open my site, but a forbidden page is displayed. after a period of time, not very regular, I can open my site again. I must emphasis that I had never done anything during this period. any this phenomanon still continues.

I guest that you are maintaining your server so sometimes the site is unaccessable due to the maintainess. maintenance is necessary and understandable, but I think that it is better if you can notify us, such as an email, a notification in your frontpage or cpanel, etc., even you can make a maintenance schedule to tell us when the server is mantained, thanks a lot :)

I need to be blunt here, so please do forgive me and don't take it personally.

If you browse the forums a bit, you'll notice that over the last day or so MySQL has become extremely unstable. This was not planned, so they couldn't send out a notification of any kind.

They know theres problems with it; PHPMyAdmin was the first to break, but now more and more is following suit, mostly related to MySQL. Give them time - they've fixed it in the past when it broke, and they've already got the datacenter where the servers are at working on it.

Just be patient; once MySQL is stable they'll be able to tell if your site problem is related to it, or if there's something else causing it (I'll bet server instability due to mysql failing).

I think it is MYSQL as well. For me right now WikiPedia either can't read the DB possibly because of the MYSQL upgrade or when it can read it can't access the MYSQL DB do to server traffic =P. It just needs to be worked out. Right now I can't even access FTP or CPanel

Your problem is probally due to some server updates or you might need to check the permissions on the pages/directories.

Thank you for rapid reply, I believe that you've been trying every effort to fix it, hoping it backs to normal earlier.

but one more thing I am still confused. now I have 2 sites A and B, A uses your database while B uses external database. According to your reply, the problem is mysql, once mysql gets broken, A is dead, B should be fine, but actually B dies sometimes, does it mean that there might be other problems?

There might be yeah; PHPMyAdmin and cPanel both appear to have had some problems earlier, so there might be something else going on. Until MySQL is fixed though it'd be tricky to find it.

And I'm not doing everything I can to fix it, I'm not a mod/admin - basically I'm just repeating what they've said elsewhere XD

I'm on Paid though and I can say one thing: Paid is NOT experiencing these problems. Not saying you should or shouldn't come to paid, but it's an option if you really need hosting - Paid's like what x10 free is when the servers are stable and load is low :D

This isn't a complaint. I just want to determine if there's a server-wide issue or an (intermittent) problem only with my site on port 80.

Both FTP and cPanel are functioning properly.

http://www.siteuptime.com/users/qui....net&ServiceId=1&Locations[1]=on&Action=Check
reaches port 80 of exofire.net fine.

http://www.siteuptime.com/users/qui....net&ServiceId=1&Locations[1]=on&Action=Check
fails to reach port 80 of justheadlines.exofire.net.

At this moment the site is functioning properly but it's been down most of the night. My primary concern is why http://justheadlines.exofire.net is sometimes down when http://exofire.net is not.

Thanks.
