Sony are launching a competition to find cracking game ideas to be turned into real titles, with one lucky winner getting access to a full development team, tasked with making their vision reality. In the past, PS2 games Devil Dice, Bombtastic and Doko Demo Issho have been created via this method of competition, but Sony Japan's new Yarouze 2006 contest will offer gamers the chance to propose concepts for both the PSP and PS3, in addition to the PS2. How very exciting.
Both amateur and professional game designers can submit ideas, with the winner bagging a studio, development team, a project budget, living expenses, and of course the honour of seeing their game released. The competition opens on November 15th, when an official website will go live through which to submit entries. The competition website is titled 'Let's Make a Game', and entries must be submitted before February 2006.
A very interesting opportunity all in all, so get those thinking caps on and start coming up with those killer app suggestions. We'll keep you posted.
