SPF and DKIM not enabled?

Upon noticing that some of my users have not received registration emails I did some googling and found I need to set up an SPF record and Domainkeys.
When I try to do that in cPanel, however, I get errors saying they are not enabled.

DKIM not enabled (Failed to set up DKIM for this user.).

Am I doing something wrong or does free hosting not get these features?
