SSI suddenly stopped working?

I have been using ssi fine on my site www.thewombats.uni.cc and suddenly it stopped working and i cant figure out why, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Are you referring to Server Side Includes? If so, what error messages are you receiving? What files are you trying to include using what language?

yes server side includes, i am trying to include a header.html, sidebar.html, sidebar1.html and footer.html. From an index.shtml, they were working fine about half an hour ago. Strange i didnt change anything. No error messages the files are just not showing and when i go on view source it isnt including the file as it should just showing the include code i.e. <!--#include virtual="sidebar1.html" -->

no not on the index.shtml it has also stopped working on bandinfo.shtml, the two pages i have built so far. They just stopped working. Do i need some kind of .htaccess for ssi

u mean give you a link? if so www.thewombats.uni.cc/index.shtml. one of the pages that should be included www.thewombats.uni.cc/sidebar.html, by the way i am using the addon domain function of cpanel to get that address

Looks like you added an .htaccess file today.

RemoveHandler .html .htm .shtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .htm .html .shtml


You're changing the way .shtml is parsed.. thus breaking it.

ah thanks, sorry for the trouble im quite new to this. i deleted it with my ftp browser and then dreamweaver trial put it back. thanks again
