While I'm pretty excited for this to come out, I'm also expecting somewhat of an actual gameplay fail-type-thing. It just won't have the appeal of the original Starcraft, but because it's based off the original, I'm sure it'll be pretty fun and popular as well.....

I hope my expectations won't be crushed.

Is there anyone else that like this game?

Starcraft Fan-Boy

Yup, I'm looking forward to the Starcraft 2 release. What I anticipate is that each of the three alien races (Terran, Zerg and Protoss) will have some special new powers and abilities.

What I'm interested in seeing is how each of these new powers have been balanced between the competing races.

Furthermore, I'm looking forward to the "level builder" feature as it was available in the first Starcraft. Part of the fun of Starcraft the original was in playing maps created by other players.

This release should prove to be a cool one...

If I was waiting for this game; the only thing I'm waiting is Battle.net. That is the only thing I wanted. From starcraft 1, there was many bots, clans, and cheating. The number 1 issue for starcraft. Gameplay and videos that I have seen are amazing. Starcraft 2 won't be released "probably" next year; my only guess. When blizzard wanted to release a game, they always push it back everytime. Everything about the game is amazing; graphics is probably the best strategy game (my only opinion).

I cant wait for the Zerg updates on the site. Even though I mostly play Protoss.
But still, cant wait to see what new stuff they come up with.

Anyone else seen the protoss Dark Templar for SCII yet? I love the new skin they have for it. The affects in the action shot in its section looked awesome.

Cant wait. Will play with an open mind, only taking in to consideration the sequal when it comes to the races and thier specific abilities.

It's been a while since I've played Starcraft Broodwar, though I have owned it for quite a while now. Though, I think I will pick up the game when it comes out. Maybe I'll start playing again. The graphics are highly appealing to me, as I am a 'Graphic Nazi'. Though, the new units also look cool. I'll pick it up, maybe a month after it comes out. Who knows.​
