Story in my paper

So I was reading my local newspaper and they had a story about this woman who kidnapped her own daughter.

And as part of the article they were talking about her accomplice, who for conversation's sake we'll call Bob

Now Bob wasn't particularly bright and the paper wanted to highlight this, so they had a mini interview with one of his past employers who said:

"On time I sent Bob out to fill up my car with £20 worth of petrol, so off Bob went.

About 5 minutes later I looked out of my window and saw Bob driving round in circles, he then drove off and returned another 5 minutes later.

So I asked him about it `What were you doing driving round in circles 5 minutes ago?'

`Well I went to fill up the car with £20 worth of petrol like you said, but by the time I got £18 the tank was already full, so I had to drive it round a bit to empty the tank to make sure I could get the last £2 in'

How are people this stupid?!

It's like the punchline to a joke but it actually happened >.<

Wow lol, but the guy does have a point. The boss did say (don't know the Pounds key on my keyboard right now D:) $20 so he was simply taking a command. Oh well.
