Sub-domain changing disabled?

I just tried to change my the main subdomain that my account uses, and dispite the subdomain be available (the one I chose was only 2 letters long) when I went to confirm changes it gave me this error:

An Error Has Occurred

• Domain changes are currently disabled, please try again later.

You may attempt to correct any errors that occurred after continuing.

Is this a temporary error? Should I be getting this? Or does the subdomain have to be longer than 2 letters?

That is a current error, it should be there.
