Subdomain

I haven't been able to get on the subdomain of my site for days now. I always get a 404 Error. The subdomain EXISTS, the files are there.

subdomain: http://area51.chenschool.elementfx.com/index.php

I've created a ticket but that hasn't helped. a support team member told me that "Our backend system does not show this subdomain on your account"

don't understand what this means .... it doesn't exist? it does, as I said, the files are THERE.

I show socialcircles.chenschool.elementfx.com as the only subdomain

Check cPanel under "Subdomains". If area51 isn't there, try adding it. (or maybe aliens have removed it :tongue

I had that domain, but removed it a long time ago

area51 is there under Subdomains.

I was able to access it ever since I created it until the day the problems started with servers and stuff

Suggestion:
First back up the directory containing the subdomain.
Use cPanel to delete the subdomain (shouldn't delete the directory)
Count to 7 and then add the subdomain back.

wait let me get it straight and make sure of this...

I back up the directory, then I delete it in cPanel? it won't delete the database tables, right? or any files? just need to make sure

Leave the directory alone.

Go to cPanel and use the "Subdomains" tool to remove the subdomain (it does not remove the directory, but I suggested you backup the directory just in case).

Use cPanel "Subdomains" tool to add it back.

EDIT: okay now it seems to be working
