Hello,

I signed up recently with a co.cc domain and I was wondering if I could manually link the domain, by using the zone records instead of the name servers, I have tried to just link my server's IP to the domain, but it did not work, I just get a CPanel and Apache page. I am not doing this to exceed the sub domain limit, I am trying to route certain sub domains to IP's without a middle man, so to speak.

I may take some time to respond intially because I must shovel my driveway.

you can, set an A record, and use the ip address you get pinging your server
you can ping by opining start/run type CMD
then type ping SomeAddressHere

ie: ping cossacks.x10hosting.com

replace cossacks with your server name
it should show an IP address, use that

This is what I have done and I still am getting the CPanel page.

http://www.basicscape.co.cc/ or http://basicscape.co.cc/

Both have the page that I can not get rid of.

They are showing Index of / directory listing page generated by Apache for me. You are probably seeing cached copies.

Nevermind, I will just use the name server's and use another domain. That will work.

Thanks for help, both of you.

Hi Basic-Scape,

I actually viewed your ticket about four minutes after it was posted, I just didn't know how to answer it. :p

As for your Apache error, if you are getting the "Apache is Working!" page, that's a DNS problem on our side that an account manager can fix for you. Set up your domains how you want them, then post back if you still get the Apache page so we can solve the problem.
