I know why the site is suspended, but I don't agree with it. In my radio you say the songs are copyrighted material, but I'm not distributing them to others, merely letting them listen to the songs at a decreased quality. I OWN ALL THE MATERIAL. It's like a radio STATION. They do not own the copyrights of all the songs they play, but they buy the cds.

it is a link to copyrighted materials, you are not allowed to distribute these in any way, as per the TOS, my suggestion is to just take it off...also i work in radio, and there are certain standards and code which is followed, as set out by the CRTC (in canada) they cant just go out and buy a cd and play it

You can't have any copyrighted material in your site, even if your are only hosting it for a while. Your accoun will be suspended for four days. After that time, please reply here, so that we can unsuspend it, and you can take those files away.

If the copyrighted music files are here ,yes. And I suggest only one user per account, because you are responsable for all your friend does or uploads.

He has his own account. I understand you don't want copyrighted material on the site, but the users cannot download the material. They can't keep it. I don't see how that's copyright infringement.

Also, not to be a smart arse but i think that every person who webcasts their music should be paying royalties to someone, just like Mercora, i think it's the copyright holder. You don't really have proof that you do, and x10 doesn't allow it anyway. x10 can terminate your account at any time, T.O.S.

Im the other user your all refering to, and yes i have my own account (its x10 Static btw).

I plan to remove the files from my site, as soon as im allowed back on, and I agree with your policy, because in fact allowing people to listen to the music on demand would be classified as distributing in my book. Also, its easy enough to use an online service like Winamp to listen to music, which is entirely legal, because they have permission to play the songs. however i do have sound files on the site that are my own (recorded with my own equipment, and not recordings of copyrighted material), and I hope that you have the abillity to tell the difference (which should be obvious by listening to them). Or if this still causes problems then I can just take them off as well.
