I am just here to say that you suspending free users because they have not posted on the forums is complete, without doubt a dumb rule. That is all.

Get the facts before you post. You're not required to post, just login once every 2 weeks. That's not too much to ask for free hosting, with these features.

Really? Wow. This must be a new rule that I, as a staff member, was not aware of. Can you please point me to the location this rule is at? I'd love to see it, because as far as I was told, being a Senior Staff member and all, we are just told to tell everyone that to remain active, they just have to login once ( just ONCE ) every two weeks ( 14 days ).

So, please point me in the direction of the rule that states what you have, and I'll be the first to post behind you to ask Corey to change it.

I'm very suprised. Back when I had free hosting I just had to login everyday, or two weeks (as the rule states) (E.g.: Add these forums to my homepage list). I didn't post but maybe twice a month during my free hosting period. Get the rules straight before you complain.

Another quick solution:
If you're too lazy to LOGIN every TWO WEEKS, then get paid hosting.

Starshine, question:

Metaphorically speaking, What are we supposed to do if we were going to go on vacation that was more than 2 weeks? Can we message an account manaer or something so that I wouldn't get suspended?

**Metaphorically**

I suggest that you actually go and read the Terms Of Service before complaining about it. If one doesn't read up on their complaints, one runs the risk of embarrassing himself. Like you. I think we all learned a valuable lesson from you today. Thank you very much!

You are allowed to have a friend login to your forum account. They just can not login to your hosting account.

Well, I couldn't log in and my page seemed to be put down. The page it came to said 'You are suspended because you have not visited the forum. Please make a new thread there.' or something close to that, so I did.

And anyways, you can just send a note before you suspend... That's how it always goes, file servers email you before they take down your files so you can keep it hosted there, etc, etc.

And killct, yes I am leaving because of it. Often I cannot be here to un-suspend it, and I want my site up all the time.. And I am sure others have left because of it, as well. Not so smart on your part X10.

We could send a note, but we don't. We've made that obviously clear as well, to many. We are not a file server, or did you miss that when you signed up ( x10 HOSTING ). We are a hosting provider.

If you want your site up all the time, consider paid hosting. Because even with other free hosting sites, you will have some sort of restrictions and no promise it will be up "All the time".

And yes, many have left - but I can certainly state that there are thousands who have stayed. So, you leaving over a minor rule you first agreed to, then disagreed to - won't really make much difference.

Good day to you.
