Your text is crap, maybe try blending it into the background. Other than that, how about you put the PM thing BELOW the banner in text with a link to their compose message folder.

If I had to choose, I would say the second one because it looks cleaner. The third one is ok and the first one I would't ever use because the white text at the top makes it look very unprofessional.

I like the second too. but the only problem is that the font and colour for the "A world wide Tech Gateway .... " are not that great.. brown probably needs a dark colour not a light colour..

To blend text, in photoshop you must select an option from the drop down box to the right of the size and a few other things, try "Smooth" and see how that looks.

Next, try fiddling around with the blending features such as "Overlay" and "Softlight" for that blended look :).

I think he did those in paints, because that's a header to a free template.

Nice signature, by the way.
