Template distortion and slow banner ad load times

Hi I just set up a corporate account and noticed a few "issues".

1. The site template becomes distorted whenever I navigate to another page but is restored after the advertisement banner is loaded. This effect is true for all templates i have tried.

2. The advertisement banner load times are a bit sluggish.

I gather that this normal due to the shared server but I'm just wondering if everone else with this account type is experiencing the same thing.

Incidentally I am running Joomla 1.5.3.

Part of the problem with the ads is that it runs a script on one server and then goes off to other servers I believe to download the actual ads. This will never load as fast as something directly stored on your site.
