I am recently retired and decided to see if I could learn to build what is basically a vanity website without any knowledge of html, php,and all those other acronyms. The learning curve is incredibly steep for one such as myself but with judicious use of google search I got one done and loaded up here. Today I had a real oh duh moment and was helped out in the forums. This is an amazing place. I had put up a site at my previous ISP's place so had a vague idea but, wow. Cpanel included and fantastico to upload the wordpress blogger and these forums. I had no clue.

I don't have the background to know if there are any other free providers that are this helpful and I still am trying to figure out the business plan for this place that allows the proprietor(s?) to make a living. I am considering upgrading to the static paid plan even though, based on my needs, the free ones are just fine. But this sort of effort deserves recognition.

At any rate, I'm glad I found you.

I agreed that x10 is one of the better one's out there. I've seen some that offered better features in the past but those were mainly fly by night hosting services, either poorly planned or lacking the finances (possibly loss of interest as well).
