Well, I will let some people guess. What is the ONLY program that stands a chance agaisnt Photoshop?


I don't care if it is a free, or a cheap one, or MsPaint... As long as it can do graphics work. I have tried so many of them, and finally found the one. I want five people to guess, then I will tell you what it is. It is currently in BETA, and I am not sure if it will cost money in the future.... Come on now, guess!

I know this is going to be wrong but I'm still gonna say Fireworks mainlt becasue Fireworks is so kick ass. I mean use a varient png to store information like a psd is genius because yo can redistrpute the png and other firerokes users will be able to use it. Tottaly owns psd's

I'm gonna say the GIMP, which is what I use (actually I made your sig with that, dsfreak) and I think it is great.

EDIT: Nevermind, it can't be the one you are thinking of, its not in beta.

Adobe owns everything nowadays but fireworks is still awsome. I bought it with the entire macromedia mx 2004 package.

Those arn't great I was just screwing about with different brushes and stuff of the type. The second picture was for an English class where we had to make a picture based on a poem.

Its not totaly finished and can compete with adobe, Just yet. But its probably the best free BETA program that can compete with photoshop.

is there a version of microsoft acrylic that doesn't need xp? or any other with low memory usage and is free?

I doubt it. It was made for Microsoft Vista, so it will need AT LEAST Xp.
