X10hosting is a very strict and stingey company.

If you think your files are safe and private, think again.

Not only will this company go into your account and check every single file to make sure there is no copyrighted material what so ever, but they will also go and check your site's links to make sure it's not linked to any suspicious copyrighted material on OTHER websites.

The concept of having your files hosted on a webhost privately with no one being able to view them except you is simply NOT the case here. x10hosting is very nosey and they will check EVERYTHING even if it's very little like a mp3 file. or a peice of a client that may be used to fix games for other people. or even videos.

Your site will be banned and they will not give you your files back, they will not help you with support, once they finalize the decision they will not let you appeal again. You are forced to sit their and shut up and not be able to make a stand for yourself or get your beloved files back.

So if you plan to use this company's services. Beware, your always being watched, your always being monitored, and all your files, links, and external sites will be monitored to get ready to ban you at any moment in time.

beware of x10hosting, and use their services with caution.

Good luck.

They have the right to check any file/account on their system. They have to cover themselves again law suits if you don't like restrictions find an offshore host that allows illegal content but x10's service is not bad it's great

A company that checks your site and other sites just to know what you are doing does not sound like a "Great" company. Seems more like a spy that you give your trust to.

Hence this company is the worst company to choose.

Firstly, x10Hosting tells you before you even sign up that you may not upload illegal files and that you will not get them back if they are found.

Secondly, a webhost that does not proactively remove copyright infringers is subject to severe penalties for harboring illegal activity. Furthermore, if you upload copyrighted material, and that webhost knows you uploaded copyrighted material, if that webhost allows you to download that copyrighted material, they have broken the law themselves for distributing the copyrighted material.

Thirdly, I hope you don't use Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, or any other US based company for communication, because they scan every single one of your emails, posts, and files so they can supply you with targeted advertising. It's an industry standard that service providers have access to the data you pass through them in order to protect themselves from legal liability, in order to make money, and in order to prevent users from abusing the service.

Essentially, you're asking for a webhost that knowing assists you in breaking the law on a daily basis. Your expectations aren't realistic.

Our Terms of Service are very clear on what is/is not allowed, and if you have questions you may ask. Keep all feedback and criticism constructive -- offer ways to improve instead of simply complaining about an "unfair" suspension
Firstly, x10Hosting tells you before you even sign up that you may not upload illegal files and that you will not get them back if they are found.

[You said UPLOAD ILLEGAL FILES], this does NOT count as a link to a third party website which then also contains a downloadable file. In which my services was termianted for.]

Furthermore, if you upload copyrighted material, and that webhost knows you uploaded copyrighted material, if that webhost allows you to download that copyrighted material, they have broken the law themselves for distributing the copyrighted material.

[Once again, you stated IF YOU UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL, I never did, just had a link that may or may not have had copyrighted material inside of it, which is then again hosted on a third party content file hosting site, which is not apart of, or affiliated with x10hosting. So you are not distributing or hosting the files, I'm just simply posting a link on my site]

[These aren't x10hosting. this is x10hosting which is no better than any of those companies by scanning not only waht is ON your website but what is OFF your website as well. Still does not give you the right to do so, and is an invasion of privacy.]

[Im asking for a website to combat copyright material but do not ban innocent users for posting links on their sites which could also not just be the customer, but the users who are apart of that customers website which you are banning them for. Which is not right for them to be banned.]

Once again, you stated IF YOU UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL, I never did, just had a link that may or may not have had copyrighted material inside of it, which is then again hosted on a third party content file hosting site, which is not apart of, or affiliated with x10hosting. I'm telling you the purpose of the rules, which you disagree with. I'm not saying you were rightfully or wrongfully suspended. I don't have access to your account; I can't see what files you do and do not have. You were suspended for hosting illegal material and you stated that you felt your privacy was invaded because your website was investigated. I'm telling you it is unreasonable that your website could exist without any scrutiny from any 3rd party.

These aren't x10hosting. this is x10hosting which is no better than any of those companies by scanning not only waht is ON your website but what is OFF your website as well. Still does not give you the right to do so, and is an invasion of privacy.

Users of any web service do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. You should not expect privacy from a web service because they must invade your privacy in order to provide the service. x10 is the same as every other web service, including every other webhost. You simply will not find any service provider that allows you absolute privacy. http://www.csmonitor.com/Innovation...reasonable-expectation-of-privacy-says-Google

Im asking for a website to combat copyright material but do not ban innocent users for posting links on their sites which could also not just be the customer, but the users who are apart of that customers website which you are banning them for. Which is not right for them to be banned.

You're responsible for your website and for what you allow your users to post to your website, just as x10Hosting is responsible for what you allow users post to your website, and x10Hosting's service provider is responsible for what x10Hosting allows users to post to their website.
