Getting this message when trying to login:

Access is restricted to your hosting account. The restriction is due to a substantial link having been discovered between your account and another account with a history of abuse activity.

Please contact us if you are not familiar with the circumstances which lead to this restriction. We will investigate and allow legitimate use of our web hosting.

if x10hosting "thinks" you previously had a hosting account with them - and that account was suspended because it was used for malicious purposes - they will (or have) terminate your current hosting account with them

x10hosting has data that "matches" your current account with one or more accounts that were terminated for "abuse activity"

this issue has nothing to do with 'links' on your Web site - it is about the data within one or more of x10hosting's database(s) that contain information about current and former users (accounts)

What do you suggest I do? I have not participated in any malicious activity. I would also like to add that I have had this account for over 6 months and only a few days ago was it suspended.

I am not being explained to what they mean by 'malicious activity' and I believe this is a big misunderstanding and I'm sure I can justify if they would go into more depth.

It appears you are posting a thread on the community forums to appeal a suspension. I would suggest reading over https://x10hosting.com/community/threads/account-suspended-find-out-what-to-do-here.180410/

I am not being given the option to appeal, however I have not been involved in any so-called "malicious activity" which is why I am asking for advice here.

I am looking for a complaints procedure, as well as how to get in-touch with a senior staff member at x10Hosting, such as an administrator.

I've looked into this and can confirm you've already spoken with a member of our senior staff team by email, who confirmed we cannot lift the suspension on the account due to the severity of the links identified to other accounts that had abused the service in the past. We are not able to reveal any of the methods we utilize that confirm links between accounts due to security - if everyone knew how we make those links, combating abuse would become exceedingly difficult, as if it isn't hard enough already.

I do understand that you're upset regarding this, however as senior staff already confirmed we could not lift the suspension, there is nothing more that we can do.

I'm afraid I have not spoken to a senior staff member, however this is ideally what I would like to do. Is this something which can be done?

The staff member who answered your emails is one of our senior staff team; I actually defer to them if I'm having difficulties with a server or a particularly bad or unusual abuse report. There is unfortunately nothing more that can be done by anyone on this forum.

you are at the top of the appeal 'ladder' - as said above - there is nothing more you can do

The thing is though, I haven't had a chance to appeal. This is why I would like to speak to an administrator/senior staff member to resolve this as I have not abused the system, nor been involved with so-called 'malicious activity'.

How am I able to contact an administrator then, such as Corey or Bryon and resolve this?

It is resolved... just not in your favour.

I find this hardly resolved as I have lost over seven months of work for my Computer Science course, as well as other projects. I have used this hosting account and have had no issues, nor have I ever been involved with 'abusing the system' or 'malicious activity'.

I find it appalling that I am not able to appeal and I honestly believe this is a coverup of a crackdown on users with free hosting due to the fact that I've been provided with no evidence to backup the claims of the 'senior staff'.

You are free to continue sending in emails as you have been doing, but there is nothing that anyone else on these forums can do.
