There should be one place for help, instead of having users post here on the forums, and/or tickets have a site setup, which will ask questions as to the type of problem, and give a suggestion of it being user help, or staff help needed, let the user post the question, and then the system should either make a forum post for the user, or make a ticket for the person.

There's been some ideas coming down the pipe, basically it boils down to making a post on the forums, but if it's not able to be answered by a forum member within X days, bump it to ticket.

And theres also talk of a new usergroup that's able to force it to go to ticket if it's something staff MUST look at to fix.


Dunno if that's entirely what you meant but there's definitely changes on the way :)

The tickets will be handled from the user's account panel when this system is implemented instead of through a separate system. So the user should only ever have to use the forums \ account panel to get help.

Russ is right there should be 1 place for Hosting Support

Everything is a compromise with a Free service - one can't expect perfection. For that, x10 offers Paid! ;)

The team are trying to provide us with the best service they can within the resources that are available. And as has been mentioned, there is already a thread discussing plans for how the new Support service can best be provided ;
