Hey Everybody,

http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=16497

Anybody else like those rims, I pretty much think there good enough to buy someday when I get my car, next winter [December 2008].

Anybody else ... Of course, they'll be bigger?

On a side note, this is my 5,000 post. Woo-hoo.

Hmm... not bad (amazing, you can buy them separately. Here rims always come in 4's. So your spare always ends up being a crappy old rim). What car are you looking at doing ?

No clue man, maybe some Ford Mustang, be a cool little car, but with the snow I am thinking a truck. I was looking for rims for Chris Z's car though and saw these.

I like the looks better, but looks are nothing if you can't back it up;)

Don't forget the audio system.

SPL or SQL, I prefer SQL.
My idea car must look like a piece of rubbish but yet eat a sports car with no effort. Ideally a Fiat Uno turbo with a whole load under the hood would be nice.

I also have a fetish for AV and technology. So the whole car would be rigged. Waiting for the day when my finances allow for such dreams.

I think you need to check out the following forums.

http://mp3car.com/forums/ -- If you haven't heard/or registered feel free to give me a referral, 'blong4life'.

They talk about CarPC's, or Computers that run in your car.

SPL or SQL, I prefer SQL. -- What's this sapost to mean?

They are nice but you have to make sure that the wheels will fit your tire size and wheelbase and what not. When you get your car, go to tirerack.com they'll fit everything for you.

Heh I honestly never see the point of buying "rims". Look at this situation: your brake calipers are exposed, you drive through a nice big puddle, water splashes everywhere, your exposed brake calipers get wet, and voila your brakes won't stop you (ever had slippery brakes? It's no fun). I'm personally sticking with the default hubcap the manufacturer gives me. If it doesn't cover enough, I'll buy a hubcap to cover it entirely.

I would take looks over slippery brakes. My snowmobile rotor gets wet all the time, and the piston stops it fine on that. (It has a disk brake setup like a car, 4 Piston Hydrolic), not sure how a car handles though, I'll tell you someday.

You're putting my Corsa with it's 2xdisc and 2xdrums to shame... With its odd wheel-trim on the rear nearside wheel...

No rust anywhere, just haven't got round to replacing it yet! When I got it, it only had three though!

Alas, I went for the 1.4 16v with the odd wheeltrims instead of the 1 ltr with matching ones! Spartan Erik has the right idea. Imagine a 'blinged' up Mustang sitting at the lights with an old , standard spec looking Astra pulling up next to it, and the Astra effortlessly pulling away. Maybe it's me, but I'd feel rather smug!

Hold up, your car has a 1 liter motor? That's the size motor in my snowmobile.

Nah, I phrased that badly. I have a 1389cc engine. It goes ok... Bit slower than the company's 2.0ltr turbo diesel Touran I was driving over the summer... For some reason, it was a lot faster than the other cars that were all also 2.0ltr TD.

The Touran averages more miles per gallon than my car too :-/

Where do you live with a snowmobile, Brandon?
