For anyone who has Time Warner's Roadrunner, you need to read this. There's word all over DSL Reports about this.

If this does happen to take place and does go through, it would mean the only two unmetered ISPs in my area will be Verizon, which I have and Frontier, who are both telcos :p.

Yeah I read this on Arstechnica (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/pos...-month-time-warner-bandwidth-caps-arrive.html)

I imagine the only reason Time Warner is testing this in Beaumont is because it just may be the least DSL-accessible, giving new users no alternative. Monopoly much?

Regardless I hope this plan fails.. I don't want my internet capped! Heck I'd go back to using those AOL trial dial-up CDs waaaay back in the day.

I pay $30 for 3 Mbps for DSL with ATT/SBC, and no caps! I imagine the DSL markets will welcome this move by Time Warner, it just means more customers!
