Actually, you should change the nameservers yourself at your domainname registrar (Godaddy etc )

The domains are locked to protect un authorized transfer or delete. The domain owner has to unlock and then ask for th EPP code or security key which authorizes the transfer. When you are transferring the domain to another registrar.

The unlock will be in the domain control panel where the domain purchased. like godaddy, internetbs.net etc....
