trouble installing phpbb3

im having trouble installing phpbb33 on my account i get to start of installation then get too database settings and when i fill in the settings i get this error:

Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.x10hosting.com' (110)

database type: mysql and mysql exstention

database server name: mysql.x10hosting.com

database server port: left blank

database name: phpb3

username: ingie12

password: xxxxxxxxxx

prefix: phpbb3_

any help

Please change the database address to 'localhost' instead of 'mysql.x10hosting.com'

Hi LiamKenyon,

Are you sure you have created the phpbb3 DataBase?

can you get to the database from phpMyadmin in cpanel? Have you added that user to the database? check for typo's. is you database phpb3 or phpbb3?

edit: okay created new database and new user and made sure i could reach them through phpmyadmin which i could. and now i get this message now:

I'm having the same problem, I havn't been able to access my forum since the server changes.

That is wrong, your user name will always start with ingie123_

So if you created a database user called kenyon1, the actual user name would be ingie123_kenyon1
