Hi All,

I have the domain neave-houghting.com, I want to keep it where it is an add an A record to point blog.neave-houghting.com to my account here at x10.

Due to various caches I keep losing and regaining my site and I'm not sure which settings are the ones that worked.....it worked for me yesterday lol

In my dns I have set an A record for 'blog' to point to the IP address indicated in my x10 control panel (server is lotus)

My x10 account panel is currently setup with neave-houghting.com as the domain and cpanel has blog.neave-houghting.com setup as a subdomain.

Or should i just have blog.neave-houghting.com set as the domain in my x10 account panel and nothing in cpanel? I had it like that yesterday and it seemed to work ok all day for me but nobody else, today it's not working.

I've had various results...from a suspended page (account isn't suspended), cpanel holding page (which is deleted from my space) and my site but with the php not working even though my account has been upgraded to v2

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have searched for the past 2 hours and been unable to find a definitive answer as to how to get this working.

Thanks, Russ

A records for your domain should point to: 67.228.162.200.

You'll host the whole domain "neave-houghting.com" with x10? Or you just want to host the subdomain "blog.neave-houghting.com" ?

thanks for the reply, I'll update that IP address....

I did try that address, not sure where I found it, but then although the site appeared for me my php stopped working....or perhaps it was all just part of my mixed up settings lol.

For now I just want to host the sub-domain here to see how things go and get used to the system. I anticipate that soon I would transfer the whole domain here and upgrade to either ad-supported or paid for hosting

Thanks, Russ

Ok, I've configured your account main domain to be: blog.neave-houghting.com, as it wasn't configured correctly.
After changing your A record, you may have to wait some time for it to propagate/update, and then you should be able to access your website.
You may need to clear your cache & temp files, and make a flush of your DNS.

thanks, using google translator as a kind of proxy i can see it coming back and working again.

Out of interest and for future reference what settings were wrong? (besides the dns lol)

Thanks for your help, Russ

The domain wasn't changed on WHM, but it was on JM (our backend system that interacts with WHM).

If this has been solved, feel free to close the thread :)
