Must have been against the rules. Was a bit suspect though. Could be used to spam the forums.

Its not so much of spamming the forums as everyone crontabbing the script so they wouldn't have to login to the forums anymore

That is what you ment it for, where as most not so nice people would have moded it to spam. If not then automating a login is obviously not allowed.
