You are not required to post once a month. You are required to login to the forums at least once a month and stay for about 5 or 10 minutes so the system can record your visit. Perhaps read announcements.

The simplest way to remain unsuspended is to set x10hosting forum as your homepage in IE. I'm sure you don't use IE as your default browser so it will not trouble you. Then open your IE every time You start your PC or if You are not having always on connection then open it when you come online.

Edit: To do this You should check remember me box while logging in.

Good tips.

Could make it so you log in whenever the bills are due each month. 1st of the month maybe? I believe the goal in making such a rule was to encourage people to read the announcements and help forums, so they know when there's server problems or policy changes, for example.

I find it easier to just get involved, makes it so I want to log in and find out what's going on. If nothing else, start a few threads to get the ball rolling. But if it ain't your thing, it ain't.

I don't wanna sound rude, but i really don't understand how people make logging into the forums a chore.

For busy persons, its really like a job, a part time job instead.

Are you joking? Do you really think it is a "part time job" to login to forums once a month for 5 to 10 minutes? I am very busy running a small business and also take on temporary contract jobs on a regular basis and I still find time to login and browse forums several times a day. Actually, I enjoy browsing the forums and helping people when I can.

NO, I'm not joking. Every business differs. In some jobs people even are not able to steal some time to take their meal. And I'm surprised Carl, how you said so easily. I've heard people saying here that Corey is so busy and therefore he is unable to do that for you. Do you think that it will consume an hour for Corey to say, "Okay, I'll look over your problem", but he can't find time to say a small satisfying sentence. He is the CEO, think about employees working under someone and the owner wants them to work more and more and more.

It appears that I did not completely understand your remark and if that is the case I offer my apologies. You seemed to be suggesting that a very brief login to the forums once a month is a big problem for a lot of folks. If that applies to a certain individual then that person should purchase the inactivity timer or possibly upgrade to paid hosting.

I really am not sure how this is related to the inactivity rule which is the thread topic. However, I know that Corey checks the forums several times a day, (his online status is visible on the main forum page), he frequently responds to posts on the forums, and I have seen him reply with "Okay, I'll look over your problem" on more than a few occasions. Therefore I respectfully disagree with your statements on that topic.

I remember when I joined here, some transfer or upgrade was going on, and that time I've asked Corey several times on IRC and also posted my problem in Free hosting forum but he was not free, If you don't believe check my posts of that time where I was little annoyed by Corey's behavior. It's getting off topic to discuss on Corey, but I only used his name as an example to describe busy persons. And Corey visiting here is not any strange thing, If I'm on his place I'll be 24*7*365 online. 1 day rest on leap year .

And inactivity timer is a very nice thing for such people and they should buy it. It's cheaper than any paid hosting of equal features. And because of all this features this hosting company is so successful.
