Unable to access cPanel since account creation

After viewing other posts in the support forum - I can see a lot of people are having issues switching to cPanel 3 from the x10 hosting "portal" as I call it.. This is where my problems began.
When I first made my account, I was able to access the hosting "portal". I continually tried to switch to cPanel 3, however, upon loading, it would display "1" in the top left corner of the screen, and only that.
Then, the next day (and still) I am having the problem as posted in the opening post.
