unable to connect to sever in dreamweaver

i am unable to connect to the ftp thing in dreamweaver plz help fast

Please be more specific. No one will be able to help you unless you tell us what exactly isn't working; error messages, things you are unsure of, etc.

Also, read the server alerts, that may be related to your problems.

it asks for:

ftp host
host directory
login
password

i type in and it says aremote host could not be found

ftp host = your domain name, i.e. name.x10hosting.com
host directory= public_html
login = your cPanel login name
password = your cPanel password
