Hi,
my account is sgm.pcriot.com. For the past one month or so, I am unable to upload files via ftp client. I have reset password, created new ftp accounts. Nothing seem to work. My site seems to work properly. It all started some 3-4 weeks back. At that time, both site as well as ftp seem not working. But after a couple of days, web site came back online, but ftp account is yet to be through.
Please do something,
Regards,

Are you able to connect via FTP? If so then what error are you getting when you attempt to upload a file/folder?

Have you checked your FTP user set up information on the FTP accounts page?

Yes, here is what it said:
Connecting to the FTP Server
You may connect to the FTP server to interact with your website's files using the following information. You may reset the FTP account password via the main FTP account listing if needed.

  • Server Hostname: ftp.mrc.x10host.com
  • Server Port: 21
  • FTPS (Secure): Yes − We recommend using FTP via SSL/TLS.
  • Account Username: mrc@mrc.x10host.com
  • Account Password: Hidden for security
Need an FTP Client? We recommend: Filezilla

You may upload, delete, and rename your website's files once you've connected with your FTP client.

Hi mrc,

Are you able to connect to FTP using just your cPanel username and password? :)

Thank you,

I was wondering the same exact thing as Dead-i. Can you try using FTP rather than SFTP and see if that works?

What is Cpanel username?
on cPanel's (not x10hosting Basic) main page - left side under [ Stats ]
--> Home Directory /home/ (user name is here)

also right side under [ Files ]
[ FTP Accounts ] --> [ Configure FTP Client ] - you will see your username

From what I've gathered, you've been using SFTP the whole time.
Have you tried FTP (non-secure)?

IMO - this line should show a cPanel name NOT a Email address --> [ Command: USER mrc@mrc.x10host.com ]

"IMO" I don't think it has to be an opinion for the thing you've pointed out. Yes, it of course has to be a user rather than an email. Looking at the username provided, it doesn't look like it is mistakened with an email.
Also, it should be a FTP username not CPanel username.
