Updates not taking effect...?

I just updated my site via FTP, in the directory culmor30.x10hosting.com/eps/. I have waited a while now (long while) and no changes have occurred to my site, I still receive a 404 when trying to access any of the files in this directory, the files being an HTML page and 2 PHP scipts.

I logged into FTP with my admin username and made sure the files were saved.

Try uploading them into /public_html/eps/
Any files visible to the public must be in /public_html/
