like how do we update our dns? i read a post, but i was wondering, can we just type in the DNS for x10hosting, and be able to access everything on x10, or do we have to do it for every site?

Step 1: Go learn about the Internet, and how DNS works.

The End.

Each site (I think). The DNS has been acting wierd for me now. I entered in the DNS into the hosts file, and that works fine.

But from any other computer my site only works after 8:00pm (when my ISP updates the DNS). It then works until 8:00am (when my ISP updates DNS again). The site no longer works after that until 8:00pm again. Any ideas? My ISP messed up? DNS server going up and down? I do something wrong?

I understand what you guys did, but I do not understand why I could view the site only in the givin window. I don't know if that's related to the DNS update and if it's just me or not. If you are sure it will ware-off in a few days, I'll trust you. But don't get too mad if I post again in a few days with the same problem.

NOTE: The only reason I posted this is because it works some of the time. So the DNS has to have updated at some point. Then it dies again, but works on the PC i put the DNS in the hosts file.

lol yeah thats what i did, i edited it mys1elf so i could just look at my site, i was just wondering why we couldnt just enter the hosts ip and put an asterisk for substititution, ie
(8757.87646.(Fake Ip for x10) ) http://www.*.x10hosting.com
(8757.87646.(Fake Ip for x10) ) www.*.x10hosting.com
(8757.87646.(Fake Ip for x10) ) *.x10hosting.com
and would it work for all x10 hosted sites?

btw not to flame, CypherXero, stop being a dick, i know what DNS is and how to edit it, i was just wondering insted of typing all that stuff in for every site rather than just put a substitute character for the subdomain.

That would be IP address, as in the IP address of the hosting server. DNS addresses are different.
