Uploaded files to my FTP -> error 404

Hi,
Sorry I'm bothering you folks :happysad:, but I created my account this evening and I connected to my FTP via Filezilla, then I deleted the files which were there and uploaded Coppermine Gallery.
When I went to my space http://photo.exofire.net/ and encountered a 404 error page...
How come ?

Do you have a public_html folder? It's like you have no files in that folder at all or are missing that folder.

Thanks for taking some interest in my problem...
I've got nothing of that kind ! Was it on the server before I deleted everything ?
How could I fix it ?

Ok log into your cpanel... go to your file manager this should bring you to home/accountname there you will create a folder and call it public_html in there is where you will upload all files pertaining to your website.


I have another question... do you have a folder called " WWW " ? Or did you delete everything>? If you deleted everything it might be easier to have an admin reset your acount because you will be missing some important files.

The only file you would ever have to delete would be the original index.html file inside your public_html folder for future reference.

Thanks for your answer, I'll ask for a reset 'cos I really deleted everything !! I'm not used to use american hostings and obviously I did it wrong...
