Uploading attachments for phpBB3 - Passthru php function disabled?

Hi,

I have a phpBB3 forum and need to upload attachments to some posts.

However, the passthru function in PHP is disabled for security measures...

I have applied for php v3 but after 24 hours, nothing has happened so I thought that i might need to post here first.

Sorry, you will not get v3 php. And, I don't know of any other ways to do it.
