uploading stuff using ftp

how do i upload stuff using an ftp client.

You have to put this information:
Port (default): 21
Host: ftp.YOURSUBDOMAIN.x10hosting.com or ftp.YOURDOMAIN.com
Username: Your cPanel username
Password: Your cPanel password

i tried doing what u said but its not working its taking a really long time to connect me to ftp, any other ways to get to put things up using ftp?:dunno:

What FTP program are you using? I use SmartFTP and it works absolutly fine for me.

im on kubuntu linux what do u recommend in regards to a linux ftp

Type this in a console

sudo apt-get install gftp

Type this in a console

sudo apt-get install gftp

And when it's done, run the program, too

gftp works great, I've never had any trouble with it.
