A few hours ago I deleted my parked domain secretss.com so that I could change my main domain from secretss.x10hosting.com to secretss.com via the control panel. I think that was what caused this problem.

Since the beginning I have had a subdomain at blog.secretss.com. It has worked all along. Then after I did the domain change mentioned in the first paragraph, it has a problem:

It works when the address is in root directory "blog.secretss.com". But add anything to the url after that, like a post/page permalink, like blog.secretss.com/about, and I get a Not Found error.

Please, can someone help me fix this please? I'm freaking out over here!

PS: I do not have a redirect placed on blog.secretss.com. Only on other urls that redirect to it.

I've checked the SQL database and did a database check and repair but the problem isn't fixed. I'm not sure what really broke it, why would my domain change affect it? I don't know how to fix this, and it's pretty urgent so I hope someone can help me please!

Thanks!

PS2: Strangely, my admin panel at blog.secretss.com/wp-admin works, it's only those blog.secretss.com/blahblah/blah that are blog content that aren't found. The error says

"The requested URL /blahblah/ was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I set up a custom 404 error page some time ago and it has been working and it still is for non-blog addresses like for secretss.com/randomnonexistingurl . For 404 errors on my blog, it used to be generated by my theme. I just checked my theme files and they're all intact and in any case I didn't do anything to them.

It seems like the server doesn't detect blog.secretss.com/blahblah/blah addresses as part of the MYSQL database anymore? It's trying to grab files from outside the database or something and obviously doesn't find them. I don't know why this is happening!

Any help please? Or at least, will someone look into this please? I don't wish to sound impatient, but as I really need to get to bed soon I feel deeply uneasy thinking my situation doesn't seem to have hope for improvement >.< Really really hope a solution presents itself when I wake up in a few hours. (Good night!)

Edit: It seems the previous poster deleted his post.

Thanks for the reply!

What do you mean the fancy urls? What fancy urls? By 'admin' do you mean the CPanel admin? I don't understand the dropping and adding of fancy urls, sorry. Do you mean delete the subdomain blog.secretss.com and add it back? I've tried that, and it didn't work.

And if the "fancy urls" referred to the /blah/ addresses trailing after the subdomain address, I can't possibly "drop" them since they're automatically generated from blog posts and pages.

Yeah, but that's neither nor there since that's just one example :(

It doesn't work for every "trailing link" that happens to be blog content (that means not part of the WordPress admin panel). So ALL blog post (and blog page) permalinks, for example blog.secretss.com/2010/blog-is-broken, don't work. Although the homepage blog.secretss.com works.

It seems only main page working and remaining all sub pages broken.

Yes, thank you for summing up my first post so succinctly. Sub-pages, that might have been the word I was looking for.

Still, a solution would be better than a summary :(

WP admin area
Settings --> Permalinks
Set to Default and save settings.

If that works, go back and set to how you want them to look.
