I'm not sure, but it may be an illusion.
Several reasons why it
MAY be an illusion:
- Mass media are more interested in news in Iraq
- People may generally pay more attention on Iraq than Afghanistan. (A good sign to verify it is whether you realised or read the current news about Bin Laden. They are there, but do you realise them?)
- There may be more news in Iraq recently than the news of Bin Laden / Afghanistan
- The news in Iraq are more shocking, or draw more attentions than that of Bin Laden / Afghanistan (eg much hijacking news in Iraq, but seemingly no in Afghanistan )
The above reasons may give us illusions that US government is obsessing over Iraq than Bin Laden or Afghanistan. It may not be true, although I'm not sure.
PS: I'm not making any conclusion (implicitly) whether US government pays more attention to Iraq or Bin Laden. Just wish to raise some points for consideration & discussion.
It's up to you to make your final judgement after reading the above. you may keep your original decison, revise it, or even reject your previus decision.
