The same way you have been, just change the server/host to the domain instead of your x10 subdomain.

it doesn't connect though

I can still use my old name.x10hosting.com one though

I get this error:

Can't establish connection --> www.tbcgmod.com:21 @ Sun Nov 25 19:32:58 2007 (10054-38)
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Try just tbcgmod.com - no www. or :21. If that doesn't work, try ftp.tbcgmod.com, once again without the :21. Also, make sure passive mode is enabled.

none of those worked, I tried both with an without using port number 21, but if i left the port field blank, it would put in port 0.

Also, I'm got my domain using godaddy, is there another step i need to do?
Edit:
and is PASV the same as Passive mode?

Use: 74.86.116.187. It's Absolut IP Address, the server your account is hosted in.
Port should be: 21
And username and password should be the same you use to login to cPanel.

I've just seen your domain is not pointing to x10hosting nameservers.
Go to Goddady control panel, and set the nameservers to:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

If not, you won't be able to use your domain with your hosting account.

After changing the nameservers, you need to wait up to 48hs for the DNS to update.
Be patient, when the DNS of your domain updates to point x10hosting, you would be able to access your website.
