http://rapidshare.de/files/28065752/uxtheme-theme-vista.zip (1.8 MB)

Run Patch2k3.exe and restart computer then extract Aero Style somewere and double-click on the .msstyles file in that folder, apply. If you dont like that one, I have 26 more from every gene, just post and I can upload.

This is tested as I use it on my computer

I do not take any reponsibility for misuse of this program....

go to deviantart and search for a theme. There is lots of them and some are very similar to the one you're looking for

I used a hacked file and I have a ton of themes installed without any third party programs. Lemme find it for you. It might actually be the one posted above.

Windows won't even look at an unsigned (hence, unofficial) theme. But, if you can get the Vista theme from Vista, it should work. Just copy everything from C:\WINDOWS\Resources, I believe.

If the theme is unofficial, you would need to install a hacked UxTheme.dll DLL.

Google "UxTheme.dll sp2" for SP2 and "UxTheme.dll sp1" for SP1.

By the way, if you want transparency, that's part of Aero. Aero isn't WinXP visual styles. Install Vista.

I don't care too much about transparency; I can do that with my nVidia graphics card driver control panel

The dll that he is talking about works for me :) Find the auto installer and it will hack it for you :)

It's funny, so far I've heard a lot of people say they don't like vista, but everyone likes how it looks, subsequently everyone (that I've talked to) is more excited about copying, or emulating the look of vista, without vista! I would try to put the themes of it on my comp, but I'm worried something would go wrong!

it is better to use style xp

Programs like Windows Blinds and Style XP add too much startup lag.. installing themes directly prevents slower loading times
