I am running a vanilla forum for my schools anime club and a large part of it relies on its internal statitics feature. The view counts on posts, and even flagging posts and announcing/unanouncing it is dependent on it. Now these things are not working and it is breaking the site. My club is starting up tomorrow and i need to fix it by then. When i looked online about the problem it says that the problem is caused by the absence of curl. Was curl removed or is it just something else broken on my site? Also if it was removed could it please be put back? All vanilla forum sites rely on it and i'm sure many other sites do to.

Hi Neilanim,

Curl should be available and I just double-checked that I'm seeing it on the server's PHP configuration. Are you receiving any error messages from the forum software? If you can provide any specific error messages regarding this it would help us to troubleshoot the problem.

I actually figured out that it is most likely not curl and is just being misreported, but now my website has gone into a full temper tantrum and just died on me. Whenn i access it i am getting a 403 forbidden error

Can you please let us know a location to reproduce the problem so that we can help you further? I'm not seeing a 403 error on your website.

there isn't one right now because i redirected it to a temporary site. If you look at the address bar, it is different. I'm not sure why I was getting the error but it looks like some sort of permission problem.
