Ok SO when your web designing in photoshop, whats a good document size you use?

I don't ever make a single image for a layout. Yes it is easier, but loading time is reduced if you make a layout out of a bunch of small images and connect them together (or split a big layout into a bunch of smaller images, read the Adobe help guide it talks about how to do that)

I hope you're not talking about a banner...that is really not such a good idea to split it up. It works though, just much more work.

i use 2700x2700 pix then when its finished i resize and brake it up into smaller sections

I would say around 800x600 mark is good. You don't really want to be much wider then that. You can then make it as long as you want. At least thats what I do.

I use 1000 horizontal and 1500 vertical. Although the layout is only 700-900px width, I use 1000 to test the backgorund.

1600 by 1600 pixel size, but it is usually cropped down and resized to something more like 1200 by 700 or something.
