I’m a new user. I was able to set things up with my domain name and upload the files for my website. However, on the website (http://medievalneedle.com/), I can only see files residing directly in the public_html directory, any files in a subdirectory get a Not Found message.

For example, if I try going to the embroidery section from the main menu :

Not Found

The requested URL /embroidery/embroid.htm was not found on this server.
medievalneedle.com

I can see the uploaded embroid.htm file in the Dashboard/Hosting Control Panel and it looks correct, and there are no issues navigating through the site in my local copy.

When I was figuring out navigating the file upload and directory creation, I did delete the html_public folder and had to re-create it. Could there be an issue related to that, or is there something else going on?

Thanks.

The directory /embroidery/ can not be found. The files index.html, and framedfd.htm are found. So the DA file manager file path should be:

"My Files/domains/medievalneedle.com/public_html/embroidery/embroid.htm"

What files, and folders are in the directory "My Files/domains/medievalneedle.com/"?

What files, and folders are in the directory "My Files/domains/medievalneedle.com/public_html/"?

deleting public_html is never recommended.
only work with files inside public_html
since that is the root to your website.

Thank you. That gave me the information that I needed to get things set up correctly. I was using "My Files/public_html/" not "My Files/domains/medievalneedle.com/public_html/". I'm thinking the first was actually a shortcut to the second, that I recreated as an actual folder.

Yes My Files/public_html is or was in your case a symlink to the default domains public_html. Changing the default domain will restore the symlink.
