When I login to my webmail on Lotus, Horde gives me this:

A fatal error has occurred
DB Error: connect failed
Details have been logged for the administrator.

SquirrelMail works.
And RoundCube gives me this:

DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!
Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator

Very annoying, as squirrelmail is very basic/limited.

I have been having the same problem... only to find out today that they have closed my support request, even though it is no where near fixed! :mad:

Here is my whole support request, so hopefully this will give an update for everyone as to what the solution IS NOT at least..

Appears to work - i did have an error at first but managed to get an email sent from it, yet the UI is poor in comparison to RoundCube.

Do you know what has happened?

The database has been re-installed, can you check it now in Horde and Roundcube?

Hi, thanks for the reply - still not working - very confused. I don't have access to any databases for emails except for through adding/deleting in the cpanel?

Just in case - i have created an email for test purposes, use it if you need to.

I'm sorry about the delay in the response, but can you please try using Squirrel mail for the moment until we can get a fix on both Horde and Roundcube ?

Ok, just give me a message when it is sorted, or if you need any contact from me or anything. Can't test Squirrel Mail at the second though cause the website is down for some reason.

It seems that they don't care.
They say it is fixed, so it must be fixed, even though users are telling them that it is broken.

Horde and Roundcube are not working at the present time. You may use Squirrelmail for webmail if you wish. Staff is aware of the issue.

It works. And it sucks. Horde is much better. Horde is installed. Horde worked before. It would appear to be a problem of database permissions or settings. This has been a known problem for weeks.

But you guys don't fix it.

Well.. looks like we are wasting our time..

Before i ever buy hosting, ill see how decent their free hosting is and their general service...

now, you finish my sentence... I'm sure i dont have to

I have asked staff for an answer on Horde and Roundcube. Will post information as soon as I get it.

I am trying to get answer for this. As I stated earlier, I have sent message to staff and will report what they tell me as soon as I hear something.

If they know there is a problem, and from what the rest of you have said, they have known about it for some time, then they should bloody well fix it!
