I'm currently back since about 2-3 weeks ago about the ftp account issue (and still isn't working as of this point). I'm still not going to give up on this until there is some type of resolution I can use. I've gone crazy about FTP accounts asking some people on the internet and still can't find a way to get around it. Basically, FTP just isn't suitable in this situation. All I wanted to do was have my members edit their own webpage via FTP or cPanel. The only solution, that I know of, that can give my members access to cPanel is giving my password which is not allowed. Is there a way for my members to access cPanel with restrictions to only viewing directories/files without the need of my password? Thank you a lot for the service that is provided to me.

No, There is not. cPanel does not have this feature. You could create an additional FTP account and set to a certain directory, but this would cause a security issue as well.

Thank you for the response. That is currently what I have, FTP accounts set to the user's corresponding directory. The issue is that neither myself nor that user can access it via FTP because we both get a 530 authentication error. Other x10hosting staff have tried helping me (about 3 weeks ago) to not getting the 530 error but still nothing working at all.

I did what you told me and still not functioning correctly. The directories were already created before I created the user with the same directory name. Is this why that the FTP is not working?
