Hi,

I'm actually typing this up on behalf of my friend (or 'client', I guess you could say) who is the owner of this website.

Somewhere in the span of 2-3 weeks ago, her website @ makeupvibez.x10hosting.com stopped working and only displayed as

Index of /

Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_mono/2.6 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at makeupvibez.x10hosting.com Port 80

At the time I figured this was due to the ongoing server upgrade and advised her to simply wait it out.

However, though it seems that the servers are all operating normally again, her website is still not working.

Could someone please help us with this issue and get the site working again? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Hello,

I have checked the backups and it looks like this is what was backed up on the 17th of July and then restored yesterday. If the files went missing 3 weeks ago we may have to try and look further into our backups. Most of the backups we currently have are from July 15th-17th.

What was previously on this domain? A script like Joomla or Wordpress?

Hi Corey,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

The site was just a small static HTML website with about 4 pages in total, nothing fancy.

Do you have a local copy of this you could re-upload?

There may be a much older copy of the website I can dig up on an old hard drive somewhere, but it would be difficult to find and (of course) we will have lost quite a bit of content.

Is it impossible to retrieve the files from an older backup?

I will escalate this into a ticket. Once file restores are available we can check for you.
